Starting tomorrow and for the next three days, the 8th edition of the Braderie d’Antibes, a large market of local shops where you can get some of the most interesting end-of-season deals. Organised by the Association des Commerçants d’Antibes Coeur Azur, Antibes’ traders association, these three days are now becoming almost traditional, with thousands of people expected.
With more than a hundred of shops scheduled to participate in the Braderie with impressive sales, this will be an event where you can find anything: clothes, jewellery, textiles, beauty products, handicrafted items, and even local gastronomy.
The three-day outdoor sale will be taking place in a large area of old town and the centre of Antibes, entirely closed to traffic for the occasion. So more than just the wide range of shops and the diversity of choice they offer, this event is also the occasion for locals and passers-by to visit some of the most typical streets of the city without any traffic. Certainly a more pleasant way to do your shopping.
Car parking will be free all day on Saturday and people will be offered one hour of free parking on Friday.
When it comes to the matter of security, the traders association hired two guards to ensure basic security, and the measures of the Plan Vigipirate (France’s national security alert system) will of course be followed, with military from the operation Sentinelle, as well as national and municipal police patrolling regularly during the entire three days.
