Hundreds are expected to gather in Villefranche sur Mer for 4th July and celebrate America’s stars and stripes landmark holiday. The more the merrier! Hundreds are expected to gather in Villefranche sur Mer for 4th July and celebrate America’s stars and stripes landmark holiday.

The US Sixth Fleet association have partnered with Villefranche, the chamber of commerce and the vendors of Villefranche to plan many activities for the festive occasion. It will begin with a Jeep and pin-ups parade through the streets to the sounds of the Boogie Cherry women trio.

Late afternoon, the ‘So Nice Pin-Ups’ fashion show will be without a doubt a highlight of the day. Women dressed in the fashion style of the US Navy will entertain the crowds at the special Happy Hour ‘à l’americaine’ on the Place Amélie Pollonais and the Quai Courbet. It will be followed by a photo shoot on the Place Amélie Pollonais with Azure Liberty Jeeps.

Sponsors will distribute different tombola prizes from Joaillerie Cerutti to Hotel Welcome and Restaurant Le Mayssa at 7.30pm. Afterwards, the party will continue in the restaurants and bars of the city: Le Newport, Le Welcome Wine Pier, Achill’s, Le Mayssa, Chez Net, X Café, Le Cosmo and Les Palmiers.
