According to CNN, Prince Albert II of Monaco has bought the Philadelphia home where his mother Grace Kelly grew up. The Colonial-style house holds even more history for the Monegasque Princely family, having been the location of Prince Rainier III’s proposal to the future Princess of Monaco in 1956.
The six-bedroom mansion, which is set in large grounds, was reportedly purchased by the prince for 700,000 euros in recent weeks. It was built in 1935 by Grace Kelly’s father for his family.
What the home will be used for is yet to be revealed, but it is expected that a museum and exhibition space will be installed.
