From Friday 5 to Wednesday 10 April, Cannes is the host city for the second edition of CANNESERIES, the awards festival for television series.
Initiated by David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes, and implemented by the Association Française du Festival International des Séries de Cannes, the CANNESERIES festival offers a high-level international competition with series from all over the world. Fully included in the Cannes calendar of events, where this festival has found a natural place in the local ecosystem dedicated to the creative economy and the audiovisual sector, it is also a very popular festival, with screenings, meetings and events throughout the city. The best part is that it is accessible to everyone and free of charge.
For this second edition, the city of Cannes has decided to proudly display the colours of the event: blue, yellow or pink. CANNESERIES flags, carpets and posters were distributed to more than 500 Cannes retailers in the city centre, in République and in La Bocca to wear the colours of the event in partnership with the retailers' associations, the Tourist Office and the UMIH 06 and with the participation of Galeries Lafayette. So keep your eye out for bright pink shirts.
In addition, the City Hall and the Croisette will be illuminated in the pink colours of CANNESERIES throughout the festival.
Festivities all over the city organized by the Cannes City Hall
In the margins of the festival, Cannes City Hall invites Cannes residents and festival-goers to the ‘four corners’ of the city to participate in a multitude of events, including some special discounts on parking and drinks.
Pedestrian zone for Shopping
So that shoppers can enjoy CANNESERIES while browsing their favourite shops, the Cannes City Hall pedestrianizes the area of rue d'Antibes as well as the area of rue des Belges on Saturday, April 6 all day long.
To enjoy the CANNESERIES festival and events taking place in the city, festival-goers will be able to take advantage of the Cannes Parking network and its attractive offers set up by Mayor Lisnard:
Three hours free on Saturdays and Sundays; two hours free once a week and an evening package of €3 from Saturday 7pm to Sunday 9am.
