On Tuesday 2nd of July, the famous Cannes night market reopened with an expansion to boulevard Jean-Hibert. In addition to the market, the shops along the pedestrian street will also stay open to welcome visitors at night.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Cannes gives you a good reason to go out at night, whether you are on holiday or not. The new addition to this year’s night market in the city centre of Cannes is Jean Hibert. This lovely promenade located near the shore is an extension of the port - which was renovated over the last couple of months. This night market will welcome tourists and residents alike from July 2nd. Fashion accessories, jewels, food, decorations and clothes will be sold until late in the evening. But the night market is not the only thing you can admire during the late summer evening on Jean-Hibert promenade. Families and couples can enjoy a sunset drink in the grand square, watch the sunset beyond the hills or take a leisurely walk up to the Cannes sign for great views of the city.
If this new addition to the night markets will be each Tuesday, the famous market place of La Bocca is still open every Wednesday. The place de La Bocca was entirely redesigned these past few months without losing the charm and the history of the place. The place de La Bocca was originally modernized in order to welcome more people in a brand new place. Another legendary place in Cannes opens every Thursday night in the city centre. Quai Saint Pierre will allow tourists to know more about the history of Cannes while cruising the stalls of the night market taking place there.
For the first time this year, the shop owners of rue Meynadier will all be open every Thursday in July and August until 9.30pm. This pedestrian street is also perfect to stroll along during long summer nights. The city centre of Cannes welcomes several artists and artisans whose art depicts ancestral skills but also a will to develop them with the international population of Cannes. The three-night markets take place each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 7pm to midnight.
