The Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild invites readers of Riviera Insider along to two intimate and elegant evenings at this luxurious Saint Jean Cap Ferrat address, where you can enjoy beautiful melodies from the classical music repertoire as well as a gourmet, candlelit dinner with views over the Mediterranean Sea.
Both dates – Saturday 10th February and Saturday 10th March – follow the same programme albeit with different artists…
7:00pm: Concert in the patio
7:30pm: Interlude with champagne
8:00pm: Recommencement of the concert
8:45pm: End of the concert followed by guided tours in English and French, and the opening of the restaurant
The theme for February’s Soirée Musicale is romanticism and the Viennese waltzes, with performances by a string quartet and a flute player from the Académie de Musique in Nice. On the menu for the evening: a half-cooked foie gras terrine with beetroot and sour apple seasoning as an entrée followed by fried scallops with champagne sabayon, tender endives, and blood orange caramel. Dessert is to be ‘Désir’ red fruit delight.
In March, Amy Christianna Blake (soprano), Richard Rittelmann (baritone), Aurélie Ellul-Ricci (harpist), and Olivier Augé-Laribé (pianist) invite you to discover the ‘great operatic arias’. Dinner is to be a poached egg, creamy butternut, crispy chorizo and a leek fondue to start, farmhouse chicken supreme, a spicy sauce and lemon confit, vitelotte potato purée, and small glazed vegetables for the main, and a caramelised apple delight to complete the meal.
Tickets cost €40 for the concert and champagne reception or €95 for the concert, glass of champagne and dinner (excluding drinks). Booking online is mandatary or by phone at +33 (0)4 93 76 44 08.
