Single (or otherwise) and looking for love or a hangout on the beaches of the Côte d’Azur? Well, you’ve definitely picked one of the best locations in France according to dating app Tinder, which has ranked the country’s coastline to determine the hottest beaches for making a match. Corsica might lead the pack, but Antibes, Hyères, Cannes and Nice aren’t far behind…
If you don’t know about Tinder, it’s a location-based dating app that pairs interested individuals with another of the opposite or same sex that has also shown an interest in the other person via Tinder’s signature ‘swipe’.
While you traditionally could only search in your nearby radius, users can now search for matches in specific locations and the beaches of the French Riviera seem to be where it’s at.
Plage de Calvi in the north of Corsica has come up dating trumps as the most successful spot for picking up a match, closely followed by the white sands of Plage Richelieu in Languedoc-Roussillon. Corsica has it again in third with Plage de Palombaggia in Porto Vecchio, but then it’s the time of the Côte d’Azur, which has a total of four beaches in the Top 10.
Plage de la Salis in Antibes has fourth while Plage de l’Almanarre in Hyères takes fifth. La Croisette in Cannes and Plage Beaurivage in Nice both just made it inside the Top 10 with seventh and ninth places respectively.
