Charity fundraiser takes place this weekend
This Friday and Saturday streamers will be flying in the streets of the Principality as the annual Téléthon gets under way. Numerous events have been organised throughout Monaco in support of this cause and everyone is encouraged to head down to the north dock in the Port Hercule, where they will find the main meeting point for the Téléthon village. In the village various attractions can be found, such as a Christmas market, shows, an agility competition, Santa’s workshop, face-painting, a drawing competition and much more. Music and dance are set to be at the heart of the weekend’s festivities with a variety of performances and demonstrations catering to all musical tastes and dancing abilities. A number of societies and associations in Monaco are also taking part in the fundraising this weekend. On Friday December 3 the Monaco Alpine Club offers a unique way to visit the town by both day and night: a 24 hour non-stop hike. And on both Friday and Saturday The Monaco Moto Club have organised a gymkhana down at Quai Antoine 1er, where you can expect to see scooters, electric scooters, motorbikes and vintage motorbikes taking part. Anyone possessing a two-wheeled vehicle is welcome to participate. The Monaco Téléthon is just one of many taking place across the region this weekend, and will hopefully raise a lot of money again this year.
