Skiing & snowshoeing against cancer

On Saturday 17th March, La Ligue Contre le Cancer (the League Against Cancer) in the Alpes-Maritimes will host the Snow Day Challenge in the ski resort of Auron. Participants can choose between a parallel slalom race down the piste or a cross-country snowshoe hike, with all proceeds going towards research, treatment and prevention strategies. Support a great cause and countless families in the region!

With sport being such an important element in a healthy lifestyle, and also an excellent activity for building confidence and strength, La Ligue says, “We will storm the summit in the fight against cancer.”

For the SKI CHRONO et ENDURANCE part of the challenge, which costs €50 to enter (including ski pass for the day and membership of the association), skiers will race down the red Les Mélèzes slope – fastest wins! – and take part in a slalom course of Le Riou.

BALADE EN RAQUETTES is perfect for families (with children over 12 years of age). From the meeting point in Salle Rovery, a guide will take participants through the snowy wilderness, explaining the different animals and flora found in Auron. The snowshoe hike costs €20 (including equipment and membership).

Alongside the sporting events, plenty of other activities and stands will be present. For the full programme and registration:
