World’s largest plane joins Nice to Dubai route

From the start of July, Emirates’ A380 superjumbo aircraft – the world’s biggest passenger jet – will be embarking daily from the Nice Côte d’Azur airport runway, but that’s not all. For the first time in the history of French presidential elections, new anti-corruption body Haute Autorité pour la Transparence de la Vie Publique has revealed all 11 candidates’ personal declarations of assets and financial interests. Air France cabin crew strikes to begin tomorrow

Air France hostesses and stewards are to embark on a three-day strike from tomorrow, which may cause travel and flight disruption for passengers across the country. The company’s cabin crew are angered by plans to introduce a new medium and long haul company – Boost – to Air France’s roster with new working conditions for staff. Five unions in total argue that the contracts being put forward will lead to poorer working conditions, reduced pay and added stress to an already aging fleet.Read more

France’s airports stalled by strikes

Air traffic control workers in France are taking part in a strike this week, which was called by the UNSA union regarding working hours and conditions. Airlines across the board have been affected, with Ryanair cancelling as many as 45 flights today alone and an average of one in three flights cancelled around the country. Read more
