Each year, from 10 to 15 September, the Cannes Yachting Festival offers a unique experience to visitors and owners showing boats in the Bay of Cannes. Just off the Croisette to the east and Old Town to the west, the festival takes place in the city’s two ports: Port Canto and the Vieux Port. Near Cannes’ old town and the Palais des Festivals, the yachting.
Cannes’ Vieux Port is one of the oldest ports on the French Riviera, and still one of the most prestigious, welcoming the top boats from different shipyards all over the world. For the 2019 edition, the Cannes Yachting Festival will transform the city into a haven for boats lovers, with the largest in-water sailboat exhibition in the world at Port Canto. With more than 400 meters of quay for single hulls and 450 meters reserved for multi hulls, Port Canto will feature hundreds of new sailboats and enable them to be seen at their full potential. A selection of more than 50 yachts, from 22 to 65 meters will be showcased by brokers and charter operators. Visitors are invited aboard to meet the crew and discover the inside of many sailboats. A unique experience to go behind the scenes of many of the most prestigious boats.
Brokers will share the quay of Port Canto with a space entirely dedicated to the latest “toys”. A growing area of boating, “toys” for children and grown-ups are becoming essential equipment on yachts, from jet boards, longboards, jet skis and more will surely provide for fun times at sea.
The Cannes Yachting Festival creates excitement each year with La Regatta, organised in collaboration with the Cannes Yacht Club. The boating challenge has four legs, that will take place on 12 and 13 September. For two days, five teams will embark on multihull sailboats from the Tour Voile. Again this year, Cannes will welcome the most luxurious sailing yachts in the world, and among them several appear in the Top 10 of the biggest boats on sea - the show promises to be awe-inspiring.
