Sting is coming to Nice this weekend to perform his top hits and crowd favourites from his long and prolific career. Sting: My Songs will be a lively concert featuring the most beautiful songs written by Sting both solo and with The Police, earning him numerous Grammy Awards.
Held at the Palais Nikaia in Nice on 26 October, fans will be able to hear "Englishman In New York," "Fields Of Gold," "Shape Of My Heart," "Every Breath You Take," "Roxanne," "Message In A Bottle" and many others.
Sting is one of those amazing artists who can create across multiple genres. Author, composer, performer, actor and activist, Sting was born in Newcastle, England before moving to London in 1977, where he formed The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The group released five studio albums together, won six Grammy Awards and two Brits, and was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
Outside the group, Sting is one of the most decorated solo artists in the world, receiving 11 Grammy Awards and two additional Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, four Oscar nominations, a Tony Awards nomination, a Billboard Century Award and was named Personality of the Year 2004 by the MusiCares Foundation. He is also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has been awarded the Kennedy Center Honors, The American Music Award of Merit and the Polar Music Award. Sting received an Honorary Doctor of Music Award from the University of Northumbria (1992), Berklee College of Music (1994), University of Newcastle upon Tyne (2006) and Brown University at its 25th graduation ceremony (2018).
