LEND A HELPING HAND - CALL FOR DONATIONS

*NEW ELDERLY HOME - The Polygone Riviera launched a fund to at the beginning of May to support the local EHPAD Cantazur in Cagnes-sur-Mer. So far, they have been able to donate nearly €3,480 to the senior facility, which has helped purchase protective equipment and medical supplies (gowns, over-gowns, masks but also comfort products for the elderly).

There are only a few days left to take part in this fund. This process is completely secure and requires no registration. Polygone Rivera will match donations, giving €1 for every € donated.

* NEW  MONACO MUSEUM - The Oceanographic Museum Monaco calls for donations. After weeks without income from entrance fees (which make up 70 per cent of the museum's funding), help is urgently needed to continue to be committed to protecting the oceans. It is not only the animal maintenance at the institute that has to be financed but also research, protection and education work all around the sea. Donors receive a donation receipt; 66 per cent of the donation can be deducted from taxable income ( déduction de l'impôt sur le revenu ).

* BIOT ARTIST - The celebrated glass artists of Pierini have been hit particularly hard during this crisis. Instead of celebrating its 40th anniversary with Retrospective exhibitions planned for 40 years of Robert PIERINI and 20 years of Antoine PIERINI in their gallery, they have had to cancel everything and aren't sure they will even be able to reopen. A note from them:

"The possible reopening in France in May will not be possible for us, due to the too many financial losses we have suffered. We are appealing for DONATIONS. If you have the possibility to help us, then we are infinitely grateful... We hope that thanks to you we will be able to reopen the Glass Art Centre to welcome you once again to Biot, in our place full of history and inspiration and to share with you the creative highlights that are so precious to us." You can donate to their crowdfund here.

* CANNES MERCHANTS - The Mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard has created a fund to help support struggling businesses in Cannes. The programme, #HelpCommerces, provides support to those particularly struggling from not being able to work. Donations are made to the city and go directly to local merchants. To make a donation to #HelpCommerces, email: helpcommerces@ville-cannes.fr )
