CÔTE D'AZUR & PROVENCE
Our holiday celebrations are quite restricted this year, but there are still some villages, markets and festivities to enjoy! We have rounded up several local spots to get into the holiday spirit and let some Christmas cheer wash over you.
To start, if you still have some shopping to do, head to a place that will keep the kids occupied! Polygone Riviera has plenty of festive events including ateliers for kids, and a FNAC Kids pop-up shop that immerses kids (young and old) into the world of Disney, Harry Potter, Funko, Lego, Barbie and more. It’s a great place to get lost and let the imagination roam….
The decorations alone are enough to get even Scrooge in the holiday spirit! They have 300 trees throughout the centre, tons and tons of lights and decorations and a 13-metre tree with over 10,000 bobbles! Plus, with the open-air environment, it’s a great place for an evening stroll. The gigantic dancing fountain features an ongoing fire and water shows every 30 minutes from 2 – 7 pm with rockets of water reaching up to 35 metres. And the last weekend of Christmas they will have a series of poetry reading by Mrs Claus, accompanied by live violinists!
Polygone has strict health codes and limits on store entry. You can download an app to help navigate the shopping experience and get entry to shops. They also have a tent set-up near the pub for Covid-19 tests.
